Need Dean's Recs be mailed in official college envelopes?

Hello, hello! I've a question -- my advisor recently notified me that my Dean's Rec forms were ready for pickup. I am assuming that means I am to mail the forms myself to my prospective unis, and I am wondering if that's a proper way to do it.

Technically, aren't I not supposed to see my Advisor's comments, and shouldn't the part of the app completed by college officials be delivered in official stationery/envelopes?

I'll gladly pay for stamps and all, but please advise, is it okay for me to handle the documents myself?

Thanks for your help!

Why aren’t you technically allowed to see your Advisor’s comments? I’ve never heard that. Personally, I’m happy they gave me the form so I can keep track of it and all that.

I don’t really know, I assumed that based on other types of recommendation, seeing as on the College Official’s Rec there are many questions concerning the student’s character and whatnot. I might be wrong, that’s why I ask.

Thanks for the input!

My old college sent that form for me. I assume if you pick up those forms they will be in sealed envelopes.
