I'm currently in the process of choosing next year's courses. I only have one slot left (provided that I take all five core subjects), so I'm choosing between AP Stat and APHG.

Can you provide any recommendations from personal experience?

Originally, I planned to take AP Stat as my math course, and APHG as my open slot, but this year, my school is also offering Multivariable Calc, so I'm taking that as my math instead.

I'm equally inclined in math and social sciences, so I personally don't have a preference. Which one is more interesting? More challenging?

From what I hear, neither are very challenging. It all depends on what kind of field of major you want to pursue. I also heard that AP Stat is a math course more useful for business students.

Both are pretty easy. Stats is a strange section of math… I mean it’s hardly math at all, more just like. Knowing how to answer questions and how to use your calculator. I found it somewhat interesting I guess.
Never taken APHG but it’s known as very easy, common sense AP exam. Some people (like at my school) say the class is fun, others say it’s incredibly boring.

I’d say Stats is the more useful of the two, but it’s still not very highly regarded as an AP course, as far as I know.

Better question to ask you students at your school. How much work/how hard tests are/how fun the class is will come down to the teacher.
