For next year, I chose to take AP Econ Micro, AP US History and AP French. I'm a sophomore currently taking AP Psych and don't feel overwhelmed at all by the work; but, I've heard that AP Psych tends to be a very easy AP so I would like to know if I'm pushing myself a bit too hard with three AP's for next year. My principal thinks that I can take four AP's (Econ Micro + Macro), but I like to be in many clubs and extra curricular activities so I feared I wouldn't have enough time. I know that AP US is considered a pretty rigorous AP, but what about Econ Micro and French?

*I meant to spell CHOOSING not CHOSSING in the title. My bad.

Well, in my school economics is only offered to seniors with their PiG classes, but from what i hear, Mac/Mic isnt that hard… especially micro. and ap psych is just reading, so you shouldnt have a problem. APUSH, in my school at least, is considered the easiest history AP class… so yea.

I’ve haven’t heard much about Econ, but it doesn’t seem to be amongst the hated APs! As for AP USH, contrary to shph119, at my school it is considered one of the hardest, if not the most difficult AP, so I guess that really depends on your school and teacher…and AP French is pretty much a lost cause on the exam for non-native speakers, but you might as well give it a go if you don’t expect a 5.

^ Agree about AP French. Barely anyone in my school gets a 4 or 5. A lot get 3 or below. In my opinion, I think APUSH is easy, BUT. The work load is very heavy. We are required to take notes on each chapter. So reading+taking notes= a very tired AP student. A lot of ppl in my school sacrifice sleep for this class. AP Econ and Psych shouldn’t be that hard, they’re mostly memorization.

Thanks guys! I’m not taking AP Psych next year though, that’s the AP I’m currently taking. I mentioned it cause I sort of wanted to compare workloads. But yeah lols I don’t expect to do so well in the AP French test, I’m taking the class more out of love for the language. Same for AP US, I hear it’s very fun in my school.

Well judging on the title where you mispelled “choosing” I would have to say that you shouldn’t take any AP classes next year. Jk. Actually I don’t know how hard those AP classes are at your school versus my school. AP US History at my school is one of the hardest and boringest classes at my school.

AP French in my school is half native speakers, half over-achievers who think they can get a 5. Take it at your own risk. AP Histories in my school depend on what teacher you get. I don’t know about Micro/Macro, because It’s not offered at my school.

I took APUSH last year. It was pretty easy, I did well despite my lack of essay skills. About 80% of the test seemed to be from 3 or 4 easily crammed areas…

As I see it, APUSH is a doable class, but paired with the wrong classes, it can be the straw that broke the camel’s back.
