Need Help: Compare College

I need help!!
I have been accepted into NC state and into Ohio State University Main campus. In NC state for Engineering with intent of doing electrical engineering. Into OSU with intent of doing Electrical and Computer Engineering.

I am in great uncertainty about which college i should go to. I love ECE and would prefer that over only Electrical. But i have been told that OSU has very big classes and some class sizes may be over 100 student and i would like a more concise class size. I am also conserned about safety issues that i have been told about in NC state. I know that according to the rankings, OSU is much bettter but i would be very thankful if someone could help me choose between these universities!!!

Are you in-state for either school?

im international(for both obv ) and i havent visited yet cause going all the way to the US just for visiting the campus wasnt a good enough reason go go to the US…

I am a 5’4", petite woman. I walk alone on the Centennial campus of NC State University (which would be the campus you would be on as an Electrical Engineering student). It’s the Main Campus, not the Centennial Campus, that I notice usually has most muggings, etc. Actually, the entire area is really safe, in my opinion.

@BeastOfEarth - not sure where you’ve heard about crime at NCSU. I hope to put your mind at ease. Students feel safe walking around. State also offers a free Campus Escort ride to your dorm if you are working late at night on campus. My student uses this frequently and we encourage walking with a friend at other times since she is a female. Obviously, since it is an open urban campus and near a public park, you have to use common sense when walking around, but the area is not at all like walking around in New York. You should check out the NSCU police twitter feed to feel more informed: Police Blotter, NCSU @blottbot. Most of the tweets are about door & cooking alarms, petty thefts, drinking and non-students causing problems. There was even one recently about a chicken loose on campus.

@Trusting thank you for you view and i will take it into consideration and check out the NCSU police twitter forsho…
Thanks again!!!

Both are very good, large, public universities.

NCSU is in a major city in the research triangle and has excellent weather.
tOSU is in a midwestern large city, excellent football, and 4 clear seasons with snow in the winter.

Did you get into Honors (program/college) at either one?
What’s the net price at each?

nope, i didnt apply for honors(was eligible at OSU though) and NCSU didnt offer me honor(we cant apply for honor right?

net price:
OSU- around 47000
NCSU- around 42000
THIS IS CONSIDERING EVERYTHING

not that far away.

Is that within budget? Both seem terribly expensive for you.
