Havent look much into to it but im just wondering which colleges have a better science/biology program;
Univ. of Maryland
Marist
Lehigh
Univ. of Scranton
Univ of Deleware
Loyola Univ
Univ of Virginia
Biology is a staple at virtually any decent school. It’s not difficult to have a good bio program.
All of those schools would be more than fine…and so would a whole bunch more
What do you want to do with a bio degree? There are a glut of bio degree grads.
What is your home state?
What are your stats?
How much will your family pay?
If you want to try being premed, then go to wherever is good and inexpensive. but consider a Plan B because 75% of premeds never go to med school. And, there isn’t much you can do with a bio degree.
My mom was a biology major at Hillsdale College, and after graduating took a low-pay job as a lab researcher in Detroit. Biology is great when other majors are attached, as its concepts appear in many other branches of science. Job prospects for standalone bio majors are low however, so just be aware that you may not be able to find a job in your field immediately after graduation. I see many OOS public schools on your list, so I’d keep the private schools and your in-state public. Ditch the OOS public - not worth the investment.
not seeing grades / GPA / EC etc this actually looks like a pretty good spread of choices
Agree with @swampdraggin. If you’re application is good enough, you might wanna consider Tufts, University of Washington, and Emory!
