Thinking of changing up my senior classes for next year. Problem is I took spanish I in 8th grade so I'm taking spanish IV now as a junior, so I feel like I HAVE to take AP spanish next year, but I'd rather put energy into another AP..

Not gonna do more than 4 APs, I want to keep my GPA and sanity.
Here's what I'm thinking:

AP Calc - currently signed up for AB but could prob do BC, is it that hard to keep up with BC with a couple other APs?
AP Macro - interesting topic & want to do it even though I've heard the class is hard at my school
AP Lit - In lang now, I'm a pretty good writer

AP Spanish
AP Environmental Science?

I feel like I should take an AP science so I was thinking (gasp) APES, I took bio, chem, and physics all honors, not that great at physics. Would it be bad to take APES? Seems not too difficult but pretty interesting.

So am I pretty much stuck with AP Spanish? Any help/comments appreciated :/

Are you interested in science- are you taking another science that’s not APES?

I think you should take AP Spanish, just to show you could handle it after four years of the language.

spanish, and calc bc is really easy if u have taken AB.
80% of AB is BC.

By signed up I meant enrolled for next year but I’m able to change it, im in honors pre calc right now, so I would be taking calc ab or bc next year, sorry for the misconception.

And yeah it’s probably the best idea to go on with AP spanish, thanks I guess haha

I’m taking APES as a junior (technically I’m done), and honestly the class isn’t difficult compared to more rigorous ap classes. There’s just a bunch of information you have to know (a buttload), including laws and regulations. For me, it was slightly difficult with memorizing and the FRQs, but the class doesn’t ask for much. Besides studying, the only time-consuming activity you have to do is DNs.

I agree with the others; go ahead with AP spanish. It shows your dedication to the language even though you’re probably risking your gpa and your sanity. It also looks good on job applications too (advantage). If you don’t want to take AP spanish next year (like you really aren’t interested in learning spanish anymore), then don’t take it. You shouldn’t take a class just because you’re being pressured by expectations; I was about to take AP Spanish, but I decided not to since I just wasn’t interested anymore. It’s all up to you. I say stick with AP Spanish if you’re already proficient in the language and you’re still somewhat interested.
