I will be an incoming sophomore next year. Need help deciding where to go. What the difference in work load is and how difficult the classes are. Thanks
I cannot recommend any one school over the others based on the info provided. However, the house system at Lawrenceville might make it easier to assimilate for one entering as a sophomore.
Workload is probably going to be the same at all 3. The locations are quite different, as well as teaching style. Lville is known for Harkness method and House system. What is the most important to you?
At this point, don’t pretty much all prep schools use the Harkness method?? Hotchkiss most definitely does, and I expect the others do as well. it is not something that sets one school apart from another. Agree that the locations are different and that the OP might prefer one type of location over the other.
I mean I think Lawrenceville is a tier above the other schools. It will give you a very well rounded education.
I don’t agree that Lawrenceville is a tier above the other schools. All three schools are very good schools. My daughter was admitted to a few schools (including Lawrenceville and Hotchkiss), and she chose to join Hotchkiss, since she felt it was a better fit for her personally. We have been very pleased with the incredible well-rounded education she is getting at Hotchkiss. @username0023 - As @sgopal2 suggested if you can please share what matters most to you, we will be more than happy to share more insights which are relevant and hopefully useful in your decision-making…
