Need Help Deciding (Undergraduate Business)

Hello. I have been admitted to the following Undergraduate Business schools:

WashU in St. Louis (Olin)
Georgetown (McDonough)
NYU (Stern)
Michigan (Ross) with preferred admit to Ross

I am thinking of majoring in Finance. I live in New York so I am OOS for Michigan. Tuition is about the same for all four schools.

I would appreciate any advice that would help me decide. Thanks.

If the total cost of attendance are the same for all four and you can afford them, I’d go with Stern. NYC is the center of US financial community and Stern has a better clout in the business world, especially on the Wall Street.

It depends on what you want in a college experience. Academically you can’t lose by flipping a coin.

If you want just an education go to NYU if you want a larger than life college experience go to Michigan. If you are the in between type of person then pick Georgetown or Wash U.

By all means dont go to NYU if you are a traditionally minded person and want a campus, school spirit, sports, etc. You will be miserable.

I would put Ann Arbor above NY in terms of a college town.

But if you have always wanted to live in Greenwich Village or Georgetown, you have that option.

Choosing a college is about learning about who YOU are. Nobody else can do that but you.

Thank you everyone for the feedback so far. Any more insight would be much appreciated.

First I would take Olin off your list

The other three are all excellent for business with Stern obviously being the best on your list for finance.

I’m biased but only because Stern has been so awesome for me professionally and academically.

Feel free to shoot over any specific questions about Stern you may have.

Is Olin not a good business program? I really like WashU but I am concerned about Olin’s job placement in New York after graduation.

Does anyone have any more advice?
