Need help deciding Uni, help?

Alright, so my wife and I are looking to transfer somewhere to go and finish our bachelors degree. We need some help picking out some universities to apply to as we genuinely don’t have much of a clue.

Here are some preferences of ours.
-Applying for Fall of 2017
-We are from Cali and do want to go out of state.
-We HATE the heat and love the rain/snow/cold/cloudy whether.
-NOT hard to get into. I have about a 3.0 with 45 semester units completed currently and will be completing more by end of this year.
-Wife has about a 2.9 with 37 units but most of those units were remedial type classes (below college level math and english) she is now taking college level math and english (calculus and college lit).
-Moving out of country would be pretty cool…canada cheap at all?
It also needs to be affordable for us. Our income is below 12k a year and we will end up taking out loans, but less loans the better.

I appreciate any and all advice or suggestions.

I would also like to add that we already have plans to apply to UAF (University of Alaska at Fairbanks)

Lesley University could be an excellent option for you. They offer guaranteed merit aid for transfers, which both of you would qualify for at your current GPAs. And they’re in Cambridge, MA, where the weather has plenty of cold, snow, and rain. And rumor has it there’s another college or two in the neighborhood. :wink:

Also, if you finish with a 3.6 or better GPA, they will give you 12 credits free toward a graduate degree.
