Need HELP! Living Off-Campus as a Freshman

Although majority of people recommend living On-Campus in Freshman year,
Attending a private boarding high school for 4 years has tired me out. :(

I want to live on my own now!

I heard that Freshmen are able to live Off-Campus if —they pay certain amount of penalty. (??)

I have been searching basically everywhere on the website to find out how much it is.

But, there’s no information regarding penalty.

Has anyone lived Off-Campus as a Freshman?

there is no fee, but they put in 3780 for food under room and board. [College Search - Ohio State University: Columbus Campus - OSU - Columbus - Cost & Financial Aid](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)

I’m pretty sure as long as you tell them you’re commuting from home they won’t know the difference. As a freshmen, your supposed to A live in a dorm or B live at home. Commuters don’t have to pay for room and board, so I’m not sure what the guy above is talking about.

you obviously do not know what your talking about. my first few words were: “there is no fee.” that number is just an expected amount that you will pay for food/other things not FROM THE COLLEGE.
