Hello!

I’m a student at OSU and I live on campus, but I am planning on moving out at the end of this quarter. If I move out in the middle of the school year, I would get charged a really high fee (to the tune of $1600). However, if I am able to find someone who wants to live on campus, I can avoid the fee.

I am looking for someone who:

(a) Is a transfer student OR a freshman (as long as you graduated high school before 2010 - this year’s freshmen class wouldn’t count);
(b) Has never lived on campus at OSU or requested housing from OSU;
(c) Wants to live on campus starting January 2011.

I’m guessing there might be some international or transfer students here who might fit the bill.

I love living on campus. It’s been really great - I appreciate how convenient it is to my classes and the libraries. It’s really nice when you are in groups/clubs because the meetings are usually at random times in the evening and you don’t have to worry about parking/driving and getting back to campus during rush hour. It’s also really nice to live so close to the Short North and High Street.

I know some people worry about parties in the dorms, but honestly, it is a lot worse and more obnoxious in the houses and apartments off-campus – and off-campus, you can’t even do anything about things like that. There are also some really unique housing programs you can look into if you don’t want traditional dorms. I am in a scholarship co-op program where the living situation is more of a house than a dorm. If you are a grad student or are “non-traditional,” there are also housing options that are more like apartments with the convenience of living on campus.

The only reason I am moving out is because my roommate is graduating this quarter and I graduate in spring. I know this is a really random request but if you are interested (or know someone who might be), please let me know. If you were planning on living on campus anyway, but just hadn’t asked OSU for housing yet, then this would work out really great.

Thank you!
