okay i am having problem between these two topics
I want to major in international relations or political science
so far
i have two
Boys' State and how becoming elected State position/meeting the state's governor gave me passion for politics/international affairs

OR.
Being mayor of my city for a day and the things I learned that day and power I yielded.

Which one would be more interesting/impressive to admission officers?

Mayor for a day? SOunds interesting. Don't know many (or any) students that have held that honor. You must've done something honorable right? However, ultimately I have to agree with ADad.

yeah i am having mixed feeligns because i think both are equally important
i went to boys state.
i was voted 700-300 for a STATE position/Secretary State or above
got to meet arnold.
ignited my passion for politics.
but MAYOR FOR A DAY
i was selected out of thousands of applicants.
i got on televised city council meeting
and got to sign city proclamation and stuff.
it was nice.
so right now

lol How about you write both essays? It won't help if you got to be a mayor for a day but your essay sucks ;-) sorry for the harshness but Im serious. Ideas are often better in theory than practice. I had excellent ideas for essays, but they were horrible when I wrote them.
