Need Help Staying Awake in Class?

I have a problem staying awake in class but came up with a great idea one night while I was on my long drive home. I create an personal app for android that randomly makes a noise that will alert me. I also made a "silent" mode that will vibrate instead of make a noise. I use the silent mode for class and and it works great. I turn this on before class and I stay awake the whole time and the best thing is that nobody else knows! Since it has worked so well for me I uploaded it for free to the Android App store. If you have any suggestions or request and changes/features let me know. Hopefully this will be useful to you great guys here at CC forums. Enjoy the app and stay awake!

Just don’t take classes during siesta time (after lunch to mid afternoon).

That works too but sometimes it’s hard to schedule around that or stay awake if really boring lecture.

you might think that no one knows, but most professors can hear when a phone is vibrating. for all you know, you’re a daily annoyance in their lecture.

I agree and usually I cam hear the vibrate too but that is why I created the app:). I programmed it with a pattern that is hard enough to be felt but soft so you can can’t hear the vibrate. Like many people I keep the phone in my pocket and when I asked fellow students sitting around me none of them heard it also. I really can’t prove it to you but I recommend you give it a try. What can it really hurt? It’s free and the first time you feel somebody heard it you could turn it off.

Anybody give the app a try? I’m looking for some constructive feedback

Man, I just stay asleep if I fall asleep. Getting rest feels gooood.

a few rails. maybe an espresso. depends on the person, college is all about experimentation!
