Lately I've been having trouble staying awake in one of my classes. Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy the class, but when it comes to the lectures, I find myself sleeping!

To fellow members: have you ever found yourself falling asleep in a class? And if so, then how do you stay awake? I would greatly appreciate this.

I have and I do not try to stay awake. I just stare at the board and if I fall asleep then I do.

The teacher only does lectures and I hate it. Plus she can’t teach so I have no reason to stay awake. I can take 20 minutes at home and study the stuff myself.

Take notes to keep yourself awake. Sit in the front of the class, so you’ll feel more pressure to stay awake.

@BlackRose101: My teacher said that if I fell asleep again, then I was getting kicked out into the hallway.

@BillyMC: I already sit in the front of the class, and I still fall asleep. I have tried scribbling on paper while listening to his lecture though.

I mean actually take notes. If you scribble, you may not listen and may fall asleep. If you listen, draw out the important points, and write them down, you’re less likely to fall asleep.

Or, ask if you can stand in the back.

hahah yeahh it used to happen. now i bring along snacks to eat, a coffee to drink… it keeps me awake. getting some good nights sleep wouldnt hurt either.

Sleep in the hallway.
