Need Help With Summer Job

Hi. My plan this summer has been to volunteer with the McCain campaign, but even though I've sent a billion emails to everywhere I could find on their website, they haven't replied despite the passage of a long amount of time. Have any of you volunteered with this campaign? If so, how do you do it, and what have you actually done as a volunteer? Would you recommend just calling their main number on their website to ask about volunteering?

THANKS

That seems pretty hard to get in or reach. Have you tried contacting them other than e-mailing?

Find the nearest campaign office in your area and go in for a face to face would be my suggestion. They always need people to lick envelopes and answer phone calls.

Granted, I'm a volunteer for the Obama campaign (but, I come from a family of republicans and lots of my friends support McCain.) I worked during the PA primary and now, we're starting again for the general election.

Try and see if there is a sort of youth outreach program. Again, I only know about the Obama campaign, but I was the youth coordinator during the primary (and loved it!). Try finding the the republican party headquarters in your area. Right now, the Obama campaign in my area is operating out of the Democratic party HQ in my city.

You may need to travel, depending on where you live. I live in PA (swingstate!) so, there is more activity. Also, if you can go somewhere that McCain is speaking. (I realize that this might be difficult) but, there are usually volunteers there that you can talk to.

Call your local republican headquarters or a local republican politician and they may be able to help.

Good luck! Volunteering on a campaign (be it for Obama or McCain) is an amazing experience, imo.

Thanks a lot for the help guys! I'm gonna see if I can find the number for my local McCain HQ today!
