Frankly, WesternMass.. I don't care how good your school is, there is a chance that a college will reject you, no matter how good your school's reputation is. When choosing a safety, just try and keep that in mind. The college admissions process doesn't always follow "the way it's been in the past" You need to pick safty schools that are true safties for YOU (not just for someone from your school)

Are any of the schools that people have offered advice on proving to be of interest to you? I would be interested to see how that goes.

seriously i think GWU is a safety. He might even get scholarships. I know someone who got in LAST year and had much lower stats. I am aware of the growing competitiveness of the schools but high stats make it a safety even still. Also I think u should look into Umich-ann arbor. UVA would be a safety if u were in state.

Check out some state schools and their honors programs... a lot of schools that have top honors programs will consider you for honors and if you don't get admitted to honors, they will consider your for regular admission - so that's a huge benefit.

I think U of Delaware and U of Maryland does this.

WesternMass: If I were you I'd think twice before applying to Harvard/Yale. With you stats and ELITE prep school diploma both institutions might suffer from Tufts syndrome when looking over your application.

Just a word of caution.

Schools that might be in your "tier three"
