I have no clue where to start. I don’t care if I have to spend money. I hope another parent is up like me and points me in the right direction.
On another note, my son is having a late nite rehearsal now with his duet partner. Its good listening as I design the program.lol
Did you find something? My H created them when my S did his recitals and he’s at work so I don’t know what he used.
There are some free templates on the internet if you google search, don’t know how user friendly they are. Good luck to your S on his recital!
If you have Microsoft Word for PC or Mac, open a new document, search templates for music or programs. I have used both the PC and Mac versions to make recital programs
I figured it out. I used a blank template. I hope it turns out ok. I’m printing at kinkos so I will find out then. But thank you so much! do you put thank yous on the back or join us for the reception, or is that just a verbal invitation at the end. I guess it doesn’t matter. But since I am obsessing, what do you like?
OMG–you have to have a template for the program? I was just going to word process mine. Eek. One more week to get ready. Good luck, cellomom6!
It’s ok.lol it turned out fine. BUT. DON’T BE LIKE ME AND PUT 8.5X11 because that is the size folded.lol. Is that a little pretentious? Because I’m tired of changes. It will be 20 dollars cheaper to go the normal size and another hour to mess with the fonts if I go smaller. May longer. Sigh. What do u guys think? I looks awesome. It’s black with white lettering. Very dramatic. And has a dramatic black and white photo on front but huge. 8.5x11.
My son said to go smaller darn it. Now I have to start over. Hopefully it will be easy.
How’d the recital go, cellomom6?
It turned out really great. I was nervous about his contemporary pieces and he rocked it. He performs his pieces better than he practices them.lol. does that even make sense? I forget who said to make it a celebration and that’s exactly what we did. Beside being his mom, it truly was the best performance of all the recitals this year. He wasn’t as advanced as some but his program was engaging and fun. It truly was a great night. I think having a late recital helped set the tone.
@cellomom6 - that is funny - I sometimes wonder what is going on in practice time, and then performance time goes over really well.
