Need opinion! Lafayette VS Drexel

Hello, everyone. I'm an international student from China and I 'm having a really difficult time choosing between Lafayette and Drexel. My major is Chemical engineering.
Lafayette: great liberal art college. Small class, excellent professor who try their best help undergraduates. But the location is a bit unsatisfactory. It is not in big city and I will not have so much opportunities. And the engineering is really great. I found out about the gateway program which designed to help students find their jobs, but is it still the same because I am an international student?
I do not have any scholarship

Drexel: great location in Philly. I got into the accelerated program which means I can get a master degree in five years and 5years (3co-op). They also get me into the honor program. Drexel's engineering is also very good.
I have a scholarship of 10,000per year.

The money is not important, what I really care is how hard to find a job going to these two school? The most important thing is getting a job.
Thank you guys.:)

Please! I really need advice

Two very different schools. My daughter goes to Drexel & my son just got into Lafayette.
Drexel is a very large (and some would argue, impersonal) school. Lafayette is a small LAC with engineering. Academically, Lafayette is a better school. But the rigor of the Drexel engineering program is well documented. Drexel does have the coop program which is very successful in placing current students in meaningful jobs. I can’t speak for its international scope however.
If you want the full ‘college experience’ i.e. personal attention, small class size, close knit student body, school loyalty etc., then Lafayette is for you.
If you crave more academic choices, the coop program and a more anonymous college experience, then Drexel is for you.
Hope that helps and best of luck! It’s good to have choices.

I have to put in a few good words about Lafayette. It is a beautiful, close knit campus with a strong career center that will help you find a job. There are many alums spread out across the US too. Because it is strong in liberal arts and engineering, the curriculum will provide equal strength in technical fields and everything else too. The engineering facilities are updated and top notch.

There is plenty to do on campus so even though Easton is not a big city, it provides a good experience. In fact, there are 2 speakers coming in April, Tony Blair and Jane Goodall. The 4 year graduation rate for Lafayette is high… while Drexel’s co-op will probably extend your graduation out past 4 years. Lafayette is small and personal…so if you have questions, feel free to contact them and I would bet they will be responsive and will try to help in every way possible.

There is alot of campus activities including a sports rival vs. Lehigh. So, there’s is a stereotypic american week of school spirit in preparation for the Lafayette Lehigh football game. It is alot of fun for all of the students. I am a parent and an engineering alum of Lafayette. I hope this helps.

I can also chime in about Lafayette as my D is a freshman there and is having a wonderful experience. It is a wonderful and warm yet rigorous school. Classes are small and professors really know the students. She has friends in the engineering school who are both excited and impressed by their professors. There is a lot of school spirit (especially during Lafayette-Lehigh games) Career placement at Lafayette has a great reputation. And while the school isn’t in a city, you can get to a small mall, first run movies etc. by school van and she had a trip into Manhattan (to see an opera at the Met) with a class. In addition to the speakers mentioned above, Jimmy Carter is also coming in April – what a month!

Overall, I would put Lafayette above Drexel in terms of academics, but if you do want to be in a city and if you do love the co-op program then Drexel should be a serious contender. In the end you have to make the decision that suits you best.
