Need Preparation Advice for Microbiology

Hey everyone, I am taking a Microbiology course in the Fall term and prerequisites for that course includes, a Cell Biology introductory course and the first Organic chemistry. I don’t have both of that as I am taking those two in the same term with Microbiology.

I went to go to see the professor who is teaching it to sign off a waiver form for those two prerequisite courses and he approved it but was hesitant to sign it because he says that the Cell Biology introductory course is the basis of microbiology. He went to go see how I was doing with my other courses(Most of my professors right now are all in the same wing as his) and they said that I should be good to go. So he signed it and I am registered for it.

So I just need any advice you can give me to prepare for this class as I am not sure what to expect, and I am hoping to achieve a 4.0 GPA but not any lower than a 3.7 GPA. I am taking Organic Chemistry, an English course, a Psychology course and the Biology course along with the Microbiology in the fall.

Thanks!

-Mike

Maybe you can find the syllabus and textbook for the micro-b class (if it was taught last year) and review it this summer to figure out where you might have some gaps.

I went to the professor’s office that was going to teach it and he gave me the syllabus!

Good luck! I remember microbiology as torture so long ago. Hope it’s better for you!
