Ok, so I can't decide If I should cancel my scores or not. I just took the oct sats and it was my 3rd time. Heres wat I scored my first two times:
M: 710 V: 670 W: 650
M: 660 V: 690 W: 620
I don't know what to do. I know for sure I didn't do well on the math section, maybe like 650 or even lower. But I think I went up in verbal, possibly low 700s. I think I went up in writing too, but not by much, maybe like a 680. Some of my friends are telling me not to cancel since colleges will just take my highest from each section, but I don't know how much I believe that, especially since its my 3rd time. Will colleges just totally disregard my other scores and look at my highest? Is a minimal increase worth waiting for? especially since it was my 3rd time? If colleges really do only take the highest from each section, even for ppl who take it 3 times, I might very well be able to break 2100. I really don't know what to do..., appreciate any advice.
thanks.

Help anybody?

to get math score high, just keep practicing. im not sure if others do this, but i forced myself to kill math by subtracting 2 mins. on ea. section. that way i have to find the quickest and most efficient way to do them. on the real test it was easier because i got through most questions with little errors (hopefully). for writing, do the same. subtract time and buy some good writing prep books. critical reading u can subtract time too, but you shouldnt have to because your reading seems high enough to be able to finish. just brush up on your math and writing and you'd be good.

I already took the SAT and have absolutely no intention of taking it again. But thanks for the tips anyway. So...., should I cancel? The main problem is that I don't want colleges to think my math score was a fluke, what to do?

if i were you. Id cancel and retake. I find taking the SAT's fun. Thats an unusual opinion

I don't have time to retake, nor do I have any time to study.

i dunno i would cancel if your sure you are going to get 650 or less on Math

then it would seem like a fluke

send your scores now to colleges, then wait to send october scores till you know what you got

yes ^^^ good idea

yeah, I wouldn't cancel though.

me neither what a waste of 4 good hours

Beach, I was considering doing that, but wouldn't my counselor report the score in the mid yr report anyway?

Nah dont cancel, you never know wat ur sore is

If you ask your counselor not to include the scores she won't. But just to be sure I would ask her.
