Hey guys, I took the SAT in May and got 680 Verbal, 780 Math and 710 Writing. I just took it today, and think I probably got around 640-660 Verbal,
7760-800 Math and 700-730 Writing. Is it worth it to accept my scores, or cancel them bc i may have gone down in Verbal? Would it look bad for college if I took again in October (which would make it 3 times) or should I cancel these so I would have only took it twice?? I rlly want a 700 in Verbal and don't know whether to cancel my scores or not! I need your advice bc i only have a couple days to cancel my scores! Thanks alot guys!

If you are COMPLETELY sure that u would get a LOW score in Verbal and at the same time u r confident enough that the next time u take it, u won't mess up w/ M and W.......then, I think u may cancel it.........But, it's really sensitive since u never know bcoz of the curves and all, ur Verbal score might be higher than u r expecting!

i know but i mean i got at least 4 wrong in verbal and possibly more. i'm just afraid that i will get mid 600s in verbal, and taking the test 3 times would just look bad to a college.

mmmmm.......I don't think taking it 3 times would look really bad......but still if u think u will get 600s and u r sure enough abt the scores u can achieve next time then go ahead and cancel it! :)

i think im just gunna keep it.... as long as taking the SAT 3 times doesn't look bad! After all most good colleges just take your best composite score right???

There u go! yeah, now, u r taking the right decision!

haha thanks. I'll be prayin!!!

any other advice??? I rlly need it......

Wow after goin through the test in my head I think I'll cancel. Colleges don't see that you canceled an SAT right?

r u crazy? that score is so awesome and its a compilation anyway! i mean it can't hurt to see how you did. with scores like that, you shouldn't be fretting over little stuff like this.

bc i wanna get into a good school. im not sure that a 680 in verbal will necessarily cut it.

just contact all the colleges u r applying...and figure out whether they take the composite scores or not..........they would NOT really care abt that 680 if they take the composite. Good colleges generally focus a lot more on other stuffs rather than being really scrutinizing at SAT score to some 20-40 points!
