need some advice on courses!

Hi, so I am a planned L&S computer science major, and I want to know if my schedule for completing the major prereqs is too brutal:

fall 09 - CS 3L, math 1a
spring 10 - CS 61A, math 1b
fall 10- CS 61B, math 53, EE 42 & 43
spring 11- cs 61c, math 54, CS 70

most of the counselors at my calso told me to take math 1a first, but i can skip it since i got a 4 on ap calc bc...and they also said to take 53 before jumping straight into 54. what do you guys think? should i just take math 1b my first fall semester and then math 54 in the spring so i can have an easier sophomore year or should i just continue with this current plan?

Math 53 and 54 are independent courses. They are not built upon each other

Also, Math 53 is not required for CS. If you are interested in it, you should consider taking it anyways, but it is not necessary for CS.

Looks good, but I suggest skipping Math 1A. Difficulty wise, everything seems right.

Why would you suggest skipping math 1a? Just wondering.
