need some advice on what to do

I am 5 credits short of completing my Associate in Arts at community college.

I wanted to take more classes beyond completion of my degree, but will reach the maximum time frame for completion of degree via credits attempted after this summer when I finish the degree.

Meaning I will no longer be eligible for financial aid, which I have been receiving. I just found out about this maybe a week ago, so I''m now presented with the possibility of not going to school this fall.

I wanted to major in Econ, but needed to take some extra math classes, which is why I planned to stay at where I'm at now even after I graduated.

Just trying to figure out the best way to do this.

As long as they don’t boot you out of the school over units, there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to finish what you started. What I mean by that is, some schools have a unit cap where if you exceed that cap, you are no longer allowed to register for classes, regardless of how close you are to graduation. As long as they are not forbidding you to register, keep going.

If you have time this summer, work extra hours at your job and don’t spend any more money than you absolutely have to. Also, use ratemyprofessors to make sure that you get value for your dollar. Community college is about as affordable as it gets.
