I gave the old sat twice
my superscore is
cr. math. writing. (2260)
710. 780. 770
Highest sitting is the same with 660cr instead of 710.(2210)
So what do you think, is there any use giving the new SAT or the ACT?
I think that this depends on the schools you intend to apply to.
Although your scores are certainly good, you may find that you score higher on the new SAT or on the ACT.
If I were you and were seeking admission to top universities (e.g., Berkeley, LA, Ivies, etc.), I would go ahead and try taking the new SAT or the ACT.
Again, though, this depends on the schools you want to apply to. If you want to apply to schools where the 75th percentile score is, for example, 2050, you might find that there’s no point in retaking.
Keep in mind that this is coming from a high school student (;D), so if you’d like to be doubly sure, consult your guidance counselor with your specific concerns. Good luck!
Some schools may not take the old SAT so check each schools website.
@Gumbymom Thank you for the reply. As far I know, only Virginia Tech has yet said that they wont accept the old sat, do you know about any other school that has stated the same? Im applying this year btw, for starting in the fall of 2017.
I do not know the specific schools that will not take the old SAT, but many of the colleges that superscore the SAT, have stated they will not superscore between the Old and New. Like I stated, I would check each schools website to verify.
