Okay, so I am a Congolese (Democratic Rep. of Congo) student from Israel, I am really eager about studying architecture. So the thing is, I have applied for some schools unfortunately I was rejected by most of them. The only one I got into is probably Bard College in New York. So now I am thinking what would be best for me to do. I am actually thinking of enrolling into Bard however, they do not offer any major that is really associated with Arch. So my question to you guys is, which of the following majors [in the division of Arts: Art History, Studio Arts or mathematics in the division of science] could possibly be useful if I would wish to transfer later to a school that offers arch as a major -I do not know if such a thing is even possible. It would be great if anyone could clarify this issue to me-, or to attend a graduate arch school after college.

Any opinion is extremely welcome.
I sincerely thank all of you guys in advance for you concern and assist.

You mean applying again as a first year after graduating from college? I mean it would not be wiser to attend a graduate school at that point? what do you think?

@greyhanded - That’s what I been thinking about. But I keep wondering what would be better: studying something other than architecture for undergrad, or reapplying to an undergrad school that offers an architecture program.

I meant that it would be wise to take Studio Arts for a year while you build a portfolio - and then reapply to architecture schools as a FIRST year because most if not all accredited schools do not consider you a transfer unless you’ve either studied 1 year of architecture in a accredited program, or have a degree from some similar subject (arch. history).
