Need Some Concentration Enforcement For Sat Test Date...

The thing is, I am very bad at taking long-hour tests. How can I concentrate on reading passages until the end of the tests? Plz tell me specific food for stamina&concentration, or strategies for keeping my stamina and concentration fresh...

ummm there are some ADD drugs called adderral and some other one. Go to a doctor and see if you qualify.

backfire are you serious?

bump x100000

i've asked this same question in a past thread of mine. People mostly just said protein, fruits, sleep the night before, etc. Feel free to search through my past threads :)

While I personally found sleeping well the night before a real challenge (I have an active brain!), I would definitely recommend some good brain and energy food for test day: a banana or apple, granola bar, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some nuts, even a Snickers.

Stay away from energy drinks like Red Bull, and don't do caffeine if you don't normally (and don't cut it out if you usually have a lot), and don't eat protein bars unless you know they don't give you gas (seriously) or an upset stomach. The soy isolate protein can rip you up, especially if you eat them every day (voice of experience here).

Eggs, yogurt, a piece of toast and a small amount of fruit are a good breakfast for test day, as long as you know none of those bother you. Don't try anything radically different on test day, but try it out in advance.

Edit: And no, don't go for Adderal or similar drugs if you don't have ADHD. If you have major problems concentrating and staying on task a LOT, then you should be evaluated for ADHD or anxiety, but it's a myth that those drugs will help you concentrate if you don't have ADHD. They're stimulants and will hype you up and speed up your heart rate. ADHD brains kind of work in the opposite way, and stimulants calm people with ADHD down. I have two family members with ADHD, and you should see them without their meds. Holy crap. A friend of theirs snuck one, and we practically had to peel him off the ceiling. Seriously, not good. Just don't do it.

Ok, I have no idea why that was posted separately, but there you go.

I know some people who have taken adderal before the SAT's they said it helped them focus...but even if it does help you focus, doesn't mean you will be any smarter
