Need some help for Physics and Chemistry!~

Hi everyone. I am an international student in Grade 10.

Last year, i considered about taking the SAT II Subjects tests early so that i could have more time for SAT I.

Since i am in Grade 10, i haven't finished Physics and Chemistry courses. So i spend two months at school studying for the tests.

I chose books from Barron's, Princeton Review and Sparknotes.

Well, i also took the real tests on May 1, 2010.
However, the thing that i felt the most frustrated about was that, i normally scored 780-800 on the Sparknotes Physics and Princeton Review Physics model tests.

BUT!!! When i went to take the real tests on May 1, 2010, i found that PHYSICS test was wayyyyyyy tooooo difficult for me.

Frankly speaking, since i learned all the topics on my own, I certainly do not have a thorough understanding of all the topics, especially the topic on Magnetism and Electric field.

I felt REALLY confused. I have already finished all the books (Sparknotes, PR, Barron), but how come that i still cannot do well on the real exams?

Can anyone give me any advice?
Thanks for your generous help.

P.S. I am planning to retake Physics and Chemistry in June 5, 2010. So i have only like a month left.... :(

Well going through the books is one thing, but understanding everything you read is another. make sure you actually understand the concepts reviewed in the chemistry and physics courses.

IMO, barrons is more difficult than the actual subject tests, but the barrons books give thorough reviews of the concepts you need to know for the actual thing. so i would say just study in the barrons books and take all the tests in those books. if you do well on them (generally 730+) you should be in the running fo making a good score on the actual exam.

without taking a class, some students cannot fully grasp the subjects, particularly those in math and science.

if reading the books doesn’t really help, consider taking a class or just searching on the internet for some online classes. (surprisingly there are a lot of teachers on youtube)

and if you honestly think none of the above will help. perhaps you just had a nervous breakdown on the test.

Hello?
Could anyone tell me which text book(s) do you guys use when you take the Physics course?

I hope i can find the e-book version on the internet…
