I need some help with my testing and other things. I have a 32 on the act, and a 2030 (690 cr, 720 w, 620 m) on the SAT. and 710 USH 650 BIO M, 800 Span. Do you guys think this is enough for harvard, or should i boost up my sat math. To put it into context, im an urm (hispanic) from FL. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. this is not a chance thread, I just want to know what you guys think.

You say this is “not a chance thread” so I’m not sure what to answer.

Yes, you need to boost your math (and probably SAT or possibly ACT).

But I imagine others, with more thoroughly researched opinions will be asking you for more data: Unweighted GPA, course load rigor, class rank - and of course those pesky ECs, volunteerwork, athletics, leadership, etc. They ALL count. But…if you mean how do your standardized scores stack up?..check out

Change the “list view” to scattergram, much easier to use for an overall picture. Dunno how accurate it is.

thanks

Thanks again everyone,
will chance back

Yes, you definitely need to boost your scores. With so many highly qualified Hispanics applying to the Ivies, you need to demonstrate you are capable of doing HYPSM level work. The boost for Hispanic URM is not as significant as African-American or Native-American due to the demographics. There are many academically (SATs in 700-750 range) prepared Hispanics every year. Our school has seen many denials of Hispanic URMs who did not have top 2% rank and mid-700 scores.

Also your AP scores in Calc and Physics are going to raise some flags. Try to raise those SAT scores in January. You might also want to add some safety schools to your list. Good luck.

If you haven’t already self reported them (and if it’s allowed), don’t report any APs except the 5s, 4s. They’ll see on your transcript that you took AP classes (unless you self studied), but they don’t KNOW for sure that you took the tests. I’m not usually in favor of hiding anything, but…you gotta get rid of those 1s.

It’s probably a bit late to raise your scores, but you do have another shot at it. Your stats look “eclectic” to me - mixed & therefore hard to judge. I would expect you to get in to at least one of the top schools on your list, & The U shouldn’t be a problem at all.
