Need some help on comparing CS programs

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you could help me. I got into many of the UCs and am currently trying to decide between SD, LA, and Cal. My interest is computer science and I am trying to compare how it fares at each university. although I am aware that Cal is more renowned for its CS program, I am trying to look for actual reasons why it is better than say UCSD. However, I am not sure what I should be looking for in a CS program

Anyone that can share any advice would be helping me out a bunch

TIA

for me i picked cal over ucsd because of the college and the students plus i also picked cal because its eecs (somewhat of a double major) and vs computer science in ucsd

however, the ucsd comp sci department has bioinformatics which leads u to doing studies on human genomes by creating programs for bioengineers

but i think overall cal > ucsd because of five options and two available double majors and also some petition majors

If you got into Berkeley EECS, and you know you want to do CS, then I would say that that's better than UCLA or UCSD.

However, if you're talking about majoring in the Letters & Science CS major, I think a major factor to consider is the fact that you have to apply into the major, and there is a strong possibility that you will be denied and hence have to major in something else.
