I'm having a really hard time just figuring out where I CAN go. I just don't know where I really stand as far as all of my credentials go. A little back round about myself, I SCREWED high school up. I'm pretty sure my overall GPA was something like 1.75, I just barely graduated, I don't have any good classes under my belt, no foreign language. A bit of a misguided soul I guess you could say, at the time. I worked for a year, and decided that it was time to go back to school. I enrolled in the local community college, wake tech. I hate it, absolutely cannot stand the place, the teachers, the students, I must get out. When I figured this much out I decided to study for the SAT and take it, because I never took it while I was in high school. My scores were decent (for me) I was aiming for an 1100+ on the CR+Math, ended up with a 1030, CR-540, Math 490, with a 480 on the writing (8 on the essay) currently I'm in NC, and the schools here seem like a real long shot to transfer into, no matter what my college GPA is. (on track for a 3.5+) The required courses at most of them would keep me at wake tech for another 2 years before they would even consider me. I need to know if UNC-w, NCSU, or ANY NC school is to much of a long shot for me, or if theres a school in my home state of NY, or possibly Florida that is a good match for me, or possibly any other school that would accept me that doesn't hold HS against applicants. Thanks.

im from nc… unc pembroke and central are potential options for you… also if you are willing to stay in community college cpcc and spcc (in charlotte) are some of the best community colleges in the nation

NC Central seems like the spot if you can’t stand community college, but it is quite “ghetto” over yonder.

UNC-P seems like a decent overlooked option, does anyone know anything about the night life there?
