Need suggestions on good schools to transfer to...

Be VERY careful with USNWR rankings.....its MORE important at the undergrad level to look closely at FIT. You obviously are not happy at UCentralArkansas...so its doubly important to pick a good school where you DO fit and a school that KNOWS your present school.

FIT is a measure of academics, social, cultural, financial, emotional, geographical, weather issues.....know who YOU are and what YOU want in a school.

There are TONS of excellent schools out there that USNWR misses....or puts in categories that dont make the top 50 business schools....because they are smaller or private or have a liberal arts tag....but who often have great business schools who are outstanding feeders to prestigious MBA programs. Fordham is one of those schools. Grinnell, Bucknell, Villanova, Furman, on and on.....I know someone who went to Georgia Tech then onto Carnegie Mellon for his MBA.

Its more about YOU than it is about the ranking and prestige of the school you want to attend.

Picking names willy nilly off of a USNWR ranking is a fools errand in my book.

U. Washington is reasonably competitive, probably more so than OSU (at least for general admits, don't know about bizness). If you don't mind a little culture shock (and can afford the $) you might investigate NE schools: Babson, BU, Northeastern. I doubt they get many applicants from Arkansas.

Why? I'm sure the OP can find a fit from the list...they are all good schools.

What is FIT?

^ Haha...friedokra is referring to finding a school you like and where you believe you'll do well.

ok I figured since he capitalized each letter it was some organization or test or something

no, the capitalization was for dramatic emphasis.

You cant transfer into Notre Dame's Mendoza School of Business

ok. why not?

I was just responding to the one poster..Mendoza doesnt accept any transfers
