I was a freshman at a private university and had a lot going on and finished my first year with a 2.0. I needed to regroup so i went to a community college for my sophmore year and maintained a 3.8 and have a gpa around 3.0 overall. Wanting to transfer for my junior year, would i have a chance at lets say a Univ of Miami or a USF, and if you do not have a answer for that, do schools see that i have improved dramatically over time and take that into consideration? Thanks

You definitely have a chance at both school. Schools do in fact take into account improvement over time, so though you didn’t do so well before, it’s not as bad as you think. When you say USF, do you mean South Florida or San Francisco? I think you have a fair chance at U Miami and high chance at USF.

yea i meant university of south florida

high chance at USF, especially if you’re in-state

any other help would be appreciated

bump up ^^^^^^^^ help please
