Just got my report card and I have straight As except for Pre-Calc! Im really not interested in this class at all, but I have a pretty tough time understanding concepts thoroughly.

Any advice?

The textbook that we use is the pre-calc/discrete math book from the University of Chicago Mathematics Dept.

Do additional problems from the text beyond what is assigned for homework for additional practice. Also, get help from students who do comprehend the concepts. You should be golden after following that advice.

Go to the teacher for help, and extra practice problems. It's a drag having to put in the extra effort, but it will help boost your grade because teachers like that students are doing what they can to do better. Plus, you might find that meeting with him/her might actually help you get the concepts.

See if the teacher has after-school tutoring. Most do.

Pre-calc isn't easy by studying just from the book :D . Ask questions in class. Or, if you are having trouble understanding something, ask him/her if she can do another example.
