Need to Choose Between Internship Opportunity or an Extra AP Science Class

I’d like to know what would look better on a college application. My school system is offering an internship class next year for juniors and seniors. It would take place during our 7th (last) period of the day. It would involve leaving school for that period to intern at a place that is chosen for you based on your interests for at least 5-6 hours a week. It is also considered an honors/gifted class instead of just an ordinary CP class.

I’d like to know if this is an opportunity I should pursue instead of taking and extra AP Science class? Thanks!

Do you have any idea on the internship’s placement? It could help your application showing involvement, but then again if it’s doing back office work like making copies somewhere I can’t imagine it being worthy over an AP class.

Depends on how well rounded your application appears to be as well and if this would further show interest in a major/more well rounded application.
