As you can see, this is a simply unreasonable amount. Anyone have any ideas on which ones I should definitely drop, considering the info given above? I feel like I have a very vague understanding of what my chances are at the various schools, so I would be very grateful if somebody could give a firm and definite opinion. Thanks very much!

ummm I don't know about University of Cincinnati so I'd drop it, maybe I'd drop Penn State if you aren't into taking chances- although your SATs are really impressive. It's kind of a scattered list so I don't know. But if you are having trouble parting with any schools just apply to all, its not THAT long of a list.

yea, it seems scattered cause Im mainly going for the ones that rank in the top 15 for architecture schools, where Cincinnati is consistently number 2. How would I be taking a chance with Penn State, though? Maybe youre thinking of UPenn? The problem with applying to all is the fact that 6 of them require portfolios (very time-consuming) and are the ones im leaning towards the most. Are you sure my SATs are competitive for Rice and CMU? (i know theyre within the mid 50% range, but dont know how "impressive" they really are. oh, Im retaking the SAT in november. hope to get high 22-something.

Oh what do you mean by max before each SAT score? If those are your actual scores, they are very impressive, only one student in my entire class (461 students) got above that score. And yes I was thinking UPenn, I can never get them straight! If you are really interested in art, I'd make RISD my top choice, a friend just visited it and fell in love.

Ive taken the SAT twice (one old, one new) and am going to take it a third time, so by max I meant the highest Ive gotten on those sections, not just the latest score. I also thought that RISD will be my top choice due to my artistic leaning. Thanks for the advice. Anyone else have any ideas for ones I should definitely drop?
