Chance me For UMaryland

How do i make my application stronger ?

Please Help me out ..

I am not sure if your gpas are equivalent to our system, but if it is I would say that you are reaching at best for UMD, esp. for engineering. Your SAT is fine, but UMD looks for a gpa much closer to a 3.4 + uw. That would mean % wise you would need to have at least an 85% avg in total.

You have good ECs (nothing wrong with just participating; any consistent involvement shows dedication and passion on an undergrad resume). You have fine SATs.

But alas I fear your GPA is just too low, if it translates to a 4.0 scale as around a 2.0. I don’t know if your school is like, intensely competitive or something, but I just don’t see it happening. Especially with the downward trend like that. In the end MD is a numbers school and anything below a 3.0 is not going to have much of a shot.

im not tryna be an as shole in any way but how did you manage a 59 junior year are you 100% sure its in fact a 59

nice SAT scores, but I agree with everyone…I know that even slightly lower GPA jr. year plays a big role in the process for UMD. You should apply and do your best if you really want UMD, but you should consider it a reach…
