I qualify for heop and plans to do early decision with heop for a good college. I'm not really interested in sunys or cunys. The problem with my grades right now is that they are not consistent.

I really want to become a business major with some arts involved.

I did not take the SAT yet, but it will be around 1800 and up.

I don't know what good colleges I qualify for. I heard heop with early decison is a double + for someone like me, and I want to apply for nyu stern, tish, carnegie mellon, rochester, binghamton (eh..suny).

please give me advices and suggestions! thank you!! =)

I'm not sure how the heop program works, but I just wanted to mention that Fordham is very strong in business also.

I'm not 100% positive, but I THINK you MUST go to college in NY state. Thus, Carnegie Mellon is ineligible. Without the HEOP boost, I don't think your odds of admission to CMU are great.

I think the best thing to do is to go to the heop website.Look through the list of participating schools. Then pick one or two you are interested in and see if you can contact the HEOP program director at those schools. If you scroll to the bottom of the page at this site, you'll see a link to download a list of the participating colleges which you can download:
Introduction to HEOP The list includes telephone numbers for the HEOP offices. Ask what you have asked here--"What can I do to boost my odds of admission?"

Good luck!

PS: Just checked. CMU is not a HEOP school. Not all colleges in NY are. I think you should start with the list and see which colleges on it offer a business major.
