1. It's easy to get lost if you're not aggressive. Nothing is handed to you and you must take a lot of intiative.
2. Lack of personal attention (huge lecture hall classes) - sometimes this is good for those who like the anonymity

The hot boys are where exactly???

The damn weather just cannot make up it's mind.

Mt. Everest would be an easy climb after a month at UCLA...Is this a good or bad thing?

Damn spastic weather...

Yeah I'm a NorCal girl. Actually, the weather up in NorCal is just as unpredictable, if not worse. But the whole 80+ degrees in November is just a little crazy for me.

We had a few christmases in a row that were 85+. It was insane. But also normal, because I think we just learn not to expect any sort of consistency with the weather. Unless it's a major el nino season, then there will be consistent rain forever and ever.

That reply about the boys is funny. I visited UCLA last spring and noticed that the boys all were under 100 pounds, rode Razor scooters, and looked like little Harry Potters...lol

/I recently met the second-ever semi-attractive guy at UCLA. AND GUESS WHAT. He is from my neighborhood. At home.

Leave it to me to find the ONE guy from my specific south orange county city in UCLA that i don't already know. I am doomed to be attracted to orange county boys for the rest of my life, apparently.

There are 24811 undergraduates, with roughly half of them being male. Boy, who knew that UCLA stood for Ugly Californians in LA.

On the other hand, the attractive guys in the surrounding area should make it a point to descend on UCLA, since there are 12000 girls lost in a sea of ugly dudes. That's got to be like an all you can eat buffet for the various other students within driving distance.

most of my negatives about ucla arent about the institution itself but of LA... i.e. smog, traffic, friggin 80 degrees in november, and even issues such as parking which is a reflection of LA

i also second the overcrowded hill.

maybe the snotty girls who berate the african-american workers of bruin cafe who commute 2 hours to make lattes for brats?

I third (or should it be fourth) the comment about there not being any cute boys at UCLA... I guess it's because I'm not that attracted to Asians (which comprise at least 80% of all my classes... or so it seems...)

ckings- that's precisely my issue. well, that, and the type of guys i AM attracted to just....i dunno. i think we just have a bad sample, is all.
