It says in bold under “How to Accept your Award” that you must also turn in your enrollment deposit, but that the deadline is different. Does that only apply if I want to enroll or is it necessary to turn in a deposit just to be considered for an appeal?

sorry if I seem like I’m being too thorough, but i don’t wanna screw this up.

Where do I find the chart/matrix that you reference with academic accomplishments and scholarship amounts? The one that states the 97% receiving aid figure? I’ve searched the BU website, but haven’t been able to find it. I’d like to compare to see if will be helpful.

We got ZERO aid too, even though DD got merit aid from many other universities (none of which she wants to attend…). Is everyone paying full price/taking out huge loans? How can the kids afford to do things on weekends?

I also only got loans…granted my grades/test scores are’t spectacular, but with my EFC being around 23K, does BU really expect me to find the rest of the money necessary to pay for this school? I fell in love with the school, and want more than anything to go there, but am not convinced that putting myself in debt for years is worth it.

I received at $36.8k grant and three loans but I would still have to pay quite a lot out of pocket. It’s a choice between BU and Rutgers which is offering me a scholarship that covers almost all my tuition (I would only really have to pay for housing and I can easily commute if needed).

I really want to go to BU but the only thing that I can see making it worth the cost (I would basically be guaranteed ~$70k in debt after college) is the location and slightly better academic quality (according to rankings and such). I’ve emailed them but no reply yet.

I know grants are renewable but does anyone know if I’m mostly guaranteed the same amount if my financial situation doesn’t change (and I have the GPA/credit requirements)? I would hate to attend and then have them offer less money in a grant the following years. ):
