here's what I have found out. Except for harvard you have all the Ivies. :):):):)

porkey and affable. Do you have hotmail accounts?

Why don't you go for all the Ivies. Include Harvard also. it also has engineering in collaboration with MIT.

Is there any other majors that would be as interesting as engineering(like electrical,aerospace,..) ?? tech type majors ??

how does computer science sound to you? if you can make till the graduation with majors in CS and mathematics you will be ready for a good job. Also these majors are more common among the LACs.

i applied to northwestern last fall. and despite it being a serious reach for me, i got in as a Dean's scholar! i'm sure they get a helluva lot less intl apps than WUSTL does. And it has a mandatory $75 app fee which is a turnoff for applicants like us.
Northwestern does give aid, but they certainly aren't the most generous.

and Swarthmore and Trinity (CT) are great LACs with engineering. But if you plan to apply to Trinity, apply ED!

i'm not lookin into CS, i think its quite linear (generally progamming+maths+little sci+concepts) engineering is much more diverse (including maths+phy+che+tech+research+projects+..........etc) which is love.

I mean which i love.

Yes. for trinity apply ED. Apply ED2 if you want to make Swarthmore your first choice.

i'm samrachana from sxc applyin for fall 2007. well which do u think will be better gettin to univ or lacs? moreover i'm not yet sure abt my majors. i'm really confused abt my college shortlists

look samrachana If you are unsure about the major apply to LACs. i suggest you apply to univs only if you are going for engineering. Otherwise LACs are better for us.
And you can give your stats and your college selection so that they can be worked out here. Or PM if you are uncomfortable.

my first choice is mt. holyoke. think i'll apply for ed there. then other colleges in my lists are
smith, grinnell, reed, hamilton, kenyon, macalastor, carletton.... there are a no. of lacs i'm lookin into at present n it's been really difficult to shortlist them

Include Randolph Macon's if you can pay for the doom & board. Apply EA to colleges like Dickinson, ohio Wesleyan and gettysburg. what are your stats?

first choice mt. holyoke!... now why doesn't that surprise me?

all great lacs in ur list.. hopefully the rest of it balances this.

Include Randolph Macon's if you can pay for the doom & board. Apply EA to colleges like Dickinson, ohio Wesleyan and gettysburg. what are your stats? you may be interested in Barnard, Wellesley or bryn Mawr too. You girls are lucky to have so many female colleges.

well, i wanna get into one of these women colleges.
yeah all great lacs in my list have even made the job tougher ,most of them are reach or match so i'm not quite sure about safety colleges. could u suggest me some

Lakeforest, OWU, Salem, Luther, Hiram, Cedar Crest and so on

can we apply ed-ea to more than 1 colleges ?

There are three ways which can be used to apply early. Namely ED, EA and EASC. EASC is similar to EDas you can apply to one college only. The only difference is that EASC is not binding. EA differs in that it can be applied to more than one college. Yes, you can apply ED or EASC and apply EA to other colleges.
Porkey as I said, you might want to apply EA to U. of Scranton.

But U. of Scranton only has 1 field of engineering dat is elec n com eng i suppose. Can some 1 give me any other collos providin EA for intels.
