Nervous about April 10th...

So although I'm not worried that I'm not going to college (since I got into UCDavis), I'm just stressing out since April 10th seems so far away and Pomona is my dream school. I keep thinking about if I made any mistakes on my apps, that sort of thing. So here a just a few questions. For the common app, is it okay if I used my UPENN "Risk" essay? The other topics seemed bland and boring, and I really liked my essay. I felt that it really showed my true character, so I used it as topic of choice. However, I was wondering if I was supposed to include the topic, which I did. Would the admissions officers think that I just re-used my essay? Also, I applied to Pomona as a history major, and would they notice that I self studied for the AP World History test and passed? I took World History Honors in 9th grade, but I took the AP Exam in 11th grade. I studied for 2 days and managed to get a 3. I didn't write anything about it on my app, but if they saw my classes would they come to that conclusion? I'm getting pretty nervous now since the time for decisions is so close.

About the essay...

I don't really know what UPenn's "risk" essay is, but I did the same thing. I wrote an essay for one non-common app school, and then liked it and and used it for the common app under "topic of your own choice". My college counselors said it was fine.

Did you include the topic in there?

nope lol. I just plunged right in.

About April 10th (wow that's late to find out about decisions...), do we find out by mail, email or some status check website?

Mail and email, I think.

They notified the ED people by mail only, but I don't know about the regulars.

All notifications are by snail mail (acceptances are sent priority mail), and I believe Pomona tries to get letters out earlier than April 10.

Good luck!

So if I included the topic, is that a bad thing? Damn the wait is killing me..

Bump..10 char
