I am coming to a close of my Junior year in highschool with a 3.9 GPA. But I'm extremely nervous on whether my dream colleges will except me,

I've taken all Ap and honors classes, was the lead in the schools musical, volunteered (mostly for toys for tots and welcoming home soldiers), and I am going to be a camp counselor this summer.

Would this give me an edge over other applicant at North Carolina State, Appalachian State, Virginia Tech, East Carolina University, and University of Maryland?

Thanks, a nervous junior

Ive taken SAT classes and im taking the actual test next week, but I’ve gotten a 1800 on my pre-tests

You should have no trouble getting into any of these schools.

Don’t worry about it. You have an excellent GPA and almost every school you listed has an acceptance rate of over 50%. So the odds are with you. While your projected SAT is low by CC standards, it’s still above average and in the range for the schools you listed.

You will probably be one of the stronger applicants at most of these schools, especially App and ECU( my parents work here). No need to worry at all
