netbook v notebook

I have been considering of getting a netbook, possibly with linux ubutu, over a notebook. The netbook is more portable, and cheaper. Although No big games, but Iall the games I play on pc are gb games

I’ve read some articles about the high rate or returns for netbook buyers. I google search will show plenty of those if you are interested. The main problems seem to be the limitations on what they can perform with the limited resources available in them. Windows versions are rumored to be rather sluggish in performance. I’ve read others commenting on the smaller keyboard being a bit of a hassle to use as well. I thought about the netbook route but after reading these things decided to just stick to a notebook.

A netbook really ought to be okay in terms of performance, provided that you don’t play major games or use hungry apps. Make sure you don’t need any Windows-specific software if you go the Ubuntu route.

if you’re savvy enough for ubuntu, netbooks are fine imo

I would suggest getting a netbook & a cheap self-assembled desktop, since although netbooks may be fine for typing & browsing the internet, they’re generally rather anemic in terms of performance.

You may want to try windows 7 on there just for kicks :3
