Neuroscience at GT

I'm currently in Georgia State's neuroscience program, second semester freshman. I'm considering transferring after my second year, and someone actually suggested Tech to continue neuroscience. I'm wondering if that would make sense, since I'm dropping a designated neuro major for a different major that I would need to bridge to my current plans.

If I'm interested in doing neuro-related research in the long run, what avenues at Tech would it make sense to pursue (related majors)? I'm sure there are other people interested in neuroscience at Tech, but what are they studying for their undergraduate degree?

The neuroscience research at Tech is mostly centered in our Biomedical Engineering (BME) program. Here is a link to the NueroLab website: https://neurolab.gatech.edu/

We also have a Neuro Club: http://gtneuro.net/

The psychology department does some work in the field as well: http://www.psychology.gatech.edu/research/researchneuropsych.html

I’m at GSU too. I know a few people who transferred to Tech’s neuroscience program. I’m sure it’s better but it might be a lot more difficult. Your only other option is Emory. UGA doesn’t have an undergraduate program in neuroscience.

I say transfer
