Is getting into a neuroscience program, in general, competitive?

That’s a pretty vague question and really depends a lot on the school and their admissions. Some colleges look at specific majors when accepting students, while others only do admissions by college/school within the university and don’t look specifically at major.

In general, though, neuroscience is not particularly a difficult major for admissions relative to any other science major. You’ll be expected to have a solid science and math background. If you want to get a sense of admissions likelihood, there probably won’t be a huge difference in stats from colleges’ general data set.

Neuroscience does seem to be all the rage.
