I applied ED and never recieved my columbia ID, so I haven't been tracking whether Columbia recieved everything they were supposed to... the email said wait 30 days before freaking out about not recieving an ID. Well, I'm freaking out now because I haven't recieved an ID or a decision.

People from my school don't really apply to good colleges, but they said they sent out a transcript. I don't know what the problem is. Any ideas?

I believe that on the website (where they announced when ED decisions would come out), it says that if you haven't received your decision by Monday the 11th, then you can call the admissions office to get it.

I'd definitely call on Monday and find out whether anything's missing from your application, what your ID is, and what your decision is (if they were able to render one). The website also says that the admissions office has the right to make a decision despite an incomplete application, but that might also depend on what you're missing.

lol i was in the exct same situation last friday, when i was really scared columbia didn't have everything. Just call the Columbia office, biz hrs 9-5pm eastern time, for the ID. That's what I did.

OK, I checked... Applications I and II are in, as well as the app for financial aid. My school said they sent out my trancripts + counselor rec on October 23, a few weeks after I requested them, but postmarked by 11/1/06 all the same. Collegeboard lists my SAT scores as sent. My teachers said they sent in their parts. I really don't know what the issue is... I'll call in a few hours (I'm in Germany). Wish me luck!
