My daughter submitted her application 12/30/08. Until now, she is still waiting for her id or confirmation email. Is that normal? I guess you need id to log in. Am I right?

Thanks for your help.

Why are you posting about this? Should not your daughter be worried about her missing ID as opposed to having dear mommie/daddie swoop in to save her?

cuz he submitted the application for her... duh. sir why dont you pick up the phone and make a call to the school? or perhaps your daughter could ask you to ask your secretary to perform this immensely difficult task.

Jinl, I understand that you're worried and it's not a big deal to ask that question, even for your daughter.

I received my ID within a week of submitting my application. However, it was after they processed it so it might take some time after they've come back from the holiday break to sort through all of the applications submitted in the last three weeks.

If you are worried, then yankee is right. You can give them a call to find out how long you should have to wait.

Thanks for your respond. We are in Pacific time zone, so will be hard for my daughter to call since when she finished school, the university already closed.

Anyway, I called. They said they can not verify since they can not check until the end of next week. Hopefully we can get the id soon.

I sent my Columbia application a day after 12/31/08 and I still haven't received an id either. I called and they said it will take up to a month to get my id (so yes, its normal). I think it's because of the number of students applying around the same time.

My ID came in two weeks after submitting my application in mid-December. Considering that most people in the admissions department were probably off on holiday between those times, I would wait a couple more days before contacting the office about it.

I received an email after submitting my application that said it might take up to 30 days for them to process everything and send you an ID. So no worries.

same thing happens to me. I haven't got my ID yet, it's been two weeks.

Your ID should have been emailed to you within a few weeks after submitting Application Part I. If you did that a while ago, like I did, then you might have already received it a while back. Hope this helps.
