NEW! 2009 Goldman Sachs Operations Full-time Analyst Hiring Status

Evey division at most banks are still hiring. Much harder this year if you're not from a target school or don't have a high GPA.

If you define what you want and where, give an idea of GPA and tell us your school, we can be of more help.

If not from the target school how much GPA they required or is considered good for banks?

I want to get in GS..are they still hiring? Should I just apply on the website and wait to hear back or what should I do?

If you go to a solid college a 3.7 looks good.

I've 3.83 So pls. tell me how should I proceed. Did you get offer last week too as mentioned above?

I work for a bank. Send your resume to the departments that interest you--fast. It's late but if an interesting resume lands on someone's desk there's time. Send one resume to HR or fill out their online forms but then send resumes directly to heads of departments.

FYI, Goldman Sachs only extended two offers in IB division to the 2008 class of Harvard Business School. The job market doesn't look too rosy.

Do they change the status on website? Mine still says Application received!

I was a Civil Engineering student and did the Goldman Salt Lake Ops intern last summer. I wrote a review of my experience with the internship.

I hope this helps you all get a good feel for what the internship was like.
