Maryann, I met a patient yesterday at work that went to Endicott, she liked it a lot, but her only complaint was the size, not having a car, she said, if she wasn’t in sports, she would have found it confining. That said, that was just her personality, other students didn’t mind.

historymom - I think my S should hear from Endicott by the end of Jan. I am not sure about Stonehill - it is rolling admissions. My son completed his appliction to Stonehill on 12/8.

Best of luck to Mary AnnS and the rest of our 3.0 to 3.3 kids for continued great results.

r2r are we going to do a separate thread for the “Where were your 3.0 to 3.3 kids accepted?” It would be really helpful to those of us who have younger ones. Thanks!

I found the one from last year http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/767966-where-did-your-3-0-3-3-gpa-child-get.html

Debruns - Thanks for the info on Endicott. It is hard to find input on that school. I would think the students would go into Boston for entertainment.

Hi I’m wondering how you guys afford college for your children. I was admitted to colorado state and wish to attend but it would be a whopping 35,000 dollars. I joined the fast web and zinc but there so over whelming but i might be able to get the 25 30 thousand I need to attend csu. Any suggestions?

plm14, fill out a FAFSA and find out how much your expected financial contribution (EFC) is. If your EFC is below the cost of room and board, CSU may offer you grants and/or loans to make up the difference, or at least part of the difference. That’s how Financial Aid works.

PLM in addition to Lafalum’s advice, apply for as many local scholarships as you hear about. My two shaved about 3K off the top that way, also get a job now that you can parlay into full time over Summer… another several K off the top. Plus work about 10 hours a week when you are enrolled. You will be surprised how it adds up.

Congrats about CSU. We know how much you wanted it and I am happy for you!

Re Endicott. My niece goes there and loves it. I don’t know much more about it, but she’s a sweet, smart kid, and if she likes it, it has to be a nice place.

Thank You I will fill out the fasfa form. thats was really helpfull to know, goodluck to everyone can’t believe school is almost over:).

Historymom - my son has gotten into all 3 Arizona schools - NAU, UofA, ASU. We are thrilled. I am pushing for UofA because of the SALT program, which would be a huge benefit for him. Going to visit in February.

^^elizabethh: have heard WONDERFUL things about the SALT program as well; we have a close friend’s daughter at UofA not in the program; wishes she was though;says that the kids she knows in SALT are having an amazing experience…

If you have a direct flight from CA to Tuscon you are way ahead of the game…no direct flights from NY/NJ anymore…

Hi P14. Congrats on becoming a RAM!! I live in Ft Collins and am a CSU grad (long time ago). You will need to complete that FASFA ASAP and then talk to a financial aid rep about grants and scholarships. If you have questions about FT Collins or CSU I can try to help you out. Good Luck to you. YOu will LOVE it here!

BTW P14 What state are you from?

Once upon a time I visited a website where one could find the number of graduates from a school (in the most recent year, I presume) broken out by major. Does that ring a bell for anyone?

This site shows you that - [url=<a href=“College Navigator - Search Results”>College Navigator - Lehigh University]College Navigator - Lehigh University/url I use this site for all my quick stats info.

On college navigator it lists average non-federal loans. For example, under Lehigh, it shows 12,371 in average non-federal loans. Does anyone know what that means? Are those average private loans borrowed by a student over 4 years? Are those average private loans borrowed per year?

kathiep, thanks. That’s the one.

I’m pretty sure that means that the average borrower at Lehigh borrows $12,371 in non-federal loans per year. Collegeboard.com says that the average Lehigh student graduates with $31,123 in loans at graduation. Pretty high if you ask me.

John, thanks. Wow. Does this mean that the average student borrows 31,123 in federal loans PLUS 12,371 per year in private loans for a total of 80,607?? For an undergraduate degree? This also does not include parent plus loans, right? WOW! Is this possible?
