New admission with new SAT score after getting rejected at the same college?

Is that possible? Let’s say you get rejected because your SAT doesn’t meet their requirements but you take it again and by the time the results come out, you already got rejected. Can you ask them to look at your new SAT score and review again or should you tell them beforehand to not review your application yet because you recently took another SAT and will send scores once they are available? Please help me and thank you!!

That would be considered an appeal where you could send in new information and have your application reviewed again. It will depend if the school accepts appeals.

If you get rejected you can try to ask them to reconsider because of the higher SAT scores but it’s likely they won’t reconsider the application this time around. They will however allow you to reapply for the next school term.

Most colleges post the last date you can take the SAT and still have it be part of the admission process. If you’ve missed that date then chances are they will not wait to consider the application. If however you get your new score before the decision I would be sure to tell them the score in an email and let them know the official score has been sent.
